  Frenchy LeDreau(on left circa 1940) at his home above the cove that bears his name today. Frenchy lived on Anacapa from 1928 to 1956 leading a life of a fisherman and hermit. When the island became part of the Channel Islands National Monument in 1938 Frenchy became the de- facto caretaker for the park service.

        OPEN TO ALL H&S Power and Sail boat owners

The H&S-Channel Islands office guys will be leading a flotilla to Anacapa Island for a day of fun, kayaking, & BBQ at Frenchy's Cove. After the burgers and dogs, we'll sail off to Smuggler's in the mid afternoon to anchor overnight. One of our H&S boats will lead the return voyage from Anacapa. The other H&S boat will continue over to Santa Cruz. If you haven't been to the islands before or just overdue to exercise your boat  please join us!!
